What A Busy Day!

We started our day out with Grandparents Day.  What a wonderful event that was.  I enjoyed meeting each set of grandparents that came through and I know the kids enjoyed having them here :).

Between Grandparents Day and Center Stage tryouts we were able to squeeze in a math lesson.  We began with our multiplication quiz and finished the hour working on ROUNDING.  While grading spelling tests today I found out that the assignment last night was very vague to everyone.  Due to a lot of students struggling with rounding we went back over the entire assignment and finally got a better understanding of rounding :)

Tonight Austin and Decatur squared off at Ogle Stadium.  Lawren and I showed our team spirit today by wearing our team colors!

Grandparents Day

Today the students invited their grandparents to spend some time with them at school.  We have a lot of grandparents show up and I enjoyed meeting each of them!  They took a tour of the school, had a small snack, had their picture made, and visited the book fair.
Here are a few snapshots of students and their grandparents while taking a walk through our classroom.

Not everyone had a grandparent that could come visit.  We have several grandparents that live out of town.  So, some of us stayed in the classroom and read, played on the computer, and constructed some new creations.
